Privacy Policy

1. Introduction

NC Digital Limited, trading as Mixgraph (Company No. 16413452) (“we”, “our”, or “us”) is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you use our website and services at mixgraph.io.

2. Information We Collect

Account Information

When you create an account, we collect:

  • Email address
  • Password (encrypted)
  • DJ preferences and settings

Usage Data

We automatically collect certain information when you use Mixgraph:

  • Tracks you browse and favorite
  • Playlists you create and save
  • Live Mode session data
  • Transition feedback and ratings

Product Analytics

We operate a first-party analytics system that records how features are used — page and screen views, sessions, feature usage, and interactions with prompts — to understand what helps DJs and to improve the product. This data is stored in our own infrastructure and is never shared with or sold to third parties, and is not used for cross-site advertising. We use it to compute internal signals (such as a per-account engagement score and how you found Mixgraph) that help us personalise your experience, prioritise support, and decide which features and communications to surface to you.

  • Raw analytics events are retained for 12 months, then deleted.
  • Pre-signup events are linked to your account on sign-up; the anonymous device identifier is discarded after 90 days.
  • We also record whether our emails are opened and which links are clicked, to gauge engagement and improve our communications.
  • You can export or delete your analytics data at any time — see “Your Rights” below.

Spotify Integration

If you connect your Spotify account, we access:

  • Your Spotify username and email
  • Ability to read your playlists (only when importing)

3. How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect to:

  • Provide and improve our DJ assistance services
  • Generate personalized track recommendations
  • Save your preferences and session history
  • Improve our mixing algorithms through aggregated feedback
  • Send service updates and support messages

4. Data Sharing and Disclosure

We do not sell, trade, or rent your personal information. We may share information:

  • With service providers who process data on our behalf to operate Mixgraph: Supabase (database & authentication), Stripe (payments), Postmark (email delivery), Google Cloud and Cloudflare (hosting, processing & content delivery), and Anthropic (AI-assisted features). They may only use the data to provide their service to us.
  • When required by law or to protect rights and safety
  • With your consent for specific purposes

5. Data Security

We implement appropriate technical and organizational measures to protect your data, including encryption, secure hosting, and regular security audits. However, no method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure.

6. Your Rights

You have the right to:

  • Access your personal data
  • Correct inaccurate data
  • Request deletion of your account and data
  • Export your playlists and preferences
  • Opt-out of marketing communications

7. Cookies

We use essential cookies to keep you signed in and remember your preferences, and browser local storage for our own first-party analytics — including the persistent device identifier described in Section 2. We do not use Google Analytics or any third-party advertising or cross-site tracking cookies. You can control cookies and clear local storage through your browser settings.

8. Mobile App

The Mixgraph mobile app for iOS and Android is operated by NC Digital Limited under the same data controller, retention, and rights regime described above (deletion, export, and opt-out — see Section 6). The mobile app collects the following additional data types specific to the mobile experience:

Microphone access

The app requests microphone permission only when you tap the “Identify track” button in Live Mode. Audio is processed entirely on-device by Apple's ShazamKit framework — raw audio is never recorded, stored, or transmitted to Mixgraph servers. Only the recognised track's metadata (title, artist) is sent to our servers to look it up in our catalogue and log the request for catalogue improvements. Live track identification is currently iOS-only.

Push notifications

With your permission, we register an Expo push notification token for your device so we can deliver notifications about Discovery packs, track-request matches, and other account activity. Tokens are stored against your account and used only to deliver notifications. You can disable notifications at any time in your device settings; revoking permission does not affect any other functionality.

Device information

For diagnostics and analytics we collect platform (iOS or Android) and app version. We do not collect hardware identifiers such as IDFA, IDFV, Android advertising ID, or MAC address.

Crash reporting

We use Sentry (sentry.io) to collect crash diagnostics — stack traces, device model, OS version, and the in-app screen where the error occurred — so we can fix bugs and improve stability. Crash reports are not associated with your account email and we do not intentionally include personally identifiable information in them.

Local storage

Authentication session tokens and your app preferences are stored locally on the device in the app's sandboxed storage (managed by React Native's AsyncStorage). Session tokens are short-lived and rotate automatically. Logging out or uninstalling the app clears this data.

Audio previews

30-second track previews are streamed on demand from Apple's iTunes preview content delivery network when you tap play. Previews are not cached permanently on your device.

9. Children's Privacy

Mixgraph is not intended for users under 16 years of age. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 16.

10. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by posting the new policy on this page and updating the “Last updated” date.
