The Mixgraph mobile app for iOS and Android is operated by NC Digital Limited under the same data controller, retention, and rights regime described above (deletion, export, and opt-out — see Section 6). The mobile app collects the following additional data types specific to the mobile experience:
The app requests microphone permission only when you tap the “Identify track” button in Live Mode. Audio is processed entirely on-device by Apple's ShazamKit framework — raw audio is never recorded, stored, or transmitted to Mixgraph servers. Only the recognised track's metadata (title, artist) is sent to our servers to look it up in our catalogue and log the request for catalogue improvements. Live track identification is currently iOS-only.
With your permission, we register an Expo push notification token for your device so we can deliver notifications about followers, flames, and track-request matches. Tokens are stored against your account and used only to deliver notifications. You can disable notifications at any time in your device settings; revoking permission does not affect any other functionality.
For diagnostics and analytics we collect platform (iOS or Android) and app version. We do not collect hardware identifiers such as IDFA, IDFV, Android advertising ID, or MAC address.
We use Sentry (sentry.io) to collect crash diagnostics — stack traces, device model, OS version, and the in-app screen where the error occurred — so we can fix bugs and improve stability. Crash reports are not associated with your account email and we do not intentionally include personally identifiable information in them.
Authentication session tokens and your app preferences are stored locally on the device in the app's sandboxed storage (managed by React Native's AsyncStorage). Session tokens are short-lived and rotate automatically. Logging out or uninstalling the app clears this data.
30-second track previews are streamed on demand from Apple's iTunes preview content delivery network when you tap play. Previews are not cached permanently on your device.
Mixgraph is not intended for users under 16 years of age. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 16.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by posting the new policy on this page and updating the “Last updated” date.
