Extend your blend across 16–32 bars to let the energy drain feel intentional rather than abrupt. Start introducing the incoming track's bassline and kick during a break or sparse section of the outgoing track, allowing the low-end shift to anchor the transition. Use a high-pass filter on the outgoing track's mids and highs in the final 8 bars to create space for the new key's harmonic content without fighting for presence. Avoid dropping both tracks' kicks simultaneously at the transition point; instead, swap the kick on a phrase boundary so the new track's groove lands cleanly and the audience reads it as a deliberate energy choice, not a mixing error.
