Relative major and minor
Relative major and minor are two keys built from the same notes — A minor and C major, for instance. On the Camelot wheel they share a number and differ only by letter, which is why moving between them always works.

Why it matters
It is the one move that changes the mood of a mix without changing a single note. Same pitches, different centre of gravity: the minor side reads as darker and more inward, the major side as brighter and more open, and the floor feels the switch without being able to say what happened.
It is also the cheapest way out of a key you have been sitting in too long. Nothing has to be pitched, nothing clashes, and you arrive somewhere that sounds like a decision rather than a repetition.
